We joined in early 1993 at the age of 58. Our need at the time was an extra £1000 per month.

Jeanette was not impressed with the idea of what seems on the surface to be a non-glamorous occupation. John however was clear in his mind that providing people purchased product from the catalogues, then the system MUST work.

With this in mind we decided to plan long term as we could see the big picture. It was exciting.
Our plan was to build one new group with a strong leader, every year until we reached Top level which we knew would pay us around £5,000 per month. In the event, in the seven years to our “official” retirement age we had helped 7 people to the their Top level, and our annual income was over £100,000.
How did we do this? We decided to give every waking moment to activity and to learn the business inside out so that we were in a position to coach others.
All our early activity was funded by retailing the product. Results are entirely predictable, so plans can be made to fund whatever activity is required.
So what do we do now? We now reap the benefits of royalty income which is what network marketing is designed to do. However, far from vegetating by doing nothing, we maintain a healthy support system for our distributors, train, coach and encourage those seeking to improve their position.
We do this by working when we choose and with whom we choose. We are responsible to no-one but ourselves, but at the same time we promote this company as being the only network marketing organisation in the world (so far as we know) where a new starter can earn from day one and be in an overall profit situation within the first month.
The investment of our time in the early days is the best thing we have ever done and with consistent results. Our average gross income for the last 7 years is £159,000 per annum.

Fragile Finances: Low Earners 'Overlooked'
More than 14 million people whose average household income is £15,800 are overlooked by the Government because they are not poor enough to qualify for benefits, the Resolution Foundation said.
It found the majority (51%) have less than £1,500 in savings tucked away as a safety net and 24% spend more than a quarter of their monthly income on debt.
"We're finding that a lot of low earners are in a very difficult position once they've lost their job as they don't understand what to do," said Sue Regan, chief executive of the independent research and policy group.
"They don't get the information or support that other groups can get.
"So really there's a limited amount of support that low earners can get at the moment."
Self-employed builder Sammy Lockie, who has not had regular work for months, said he now has to rely on his partner's income as she is the only one to earn money in the home.
"Without this money or income each month, without that steady pay cheque or PAYE, then none of this would be here," said the 33-year-old from Barnets, London.
"I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you. I don't know what would happen really.
"It's a struggle. Someone needs to do something."
Our Independent debt adviser said many people like Sam are finding their finances spiralling out way out of control.
"Even if they do get a job it maybe at a lower rate than previously and suddenly they find that housing costs, council tax... the next thing they know they might have thousands of pounds worth of debt."
The Government has insisted it is doing everything possible to help low earners during the economic downturn.
Except to show them how to earn money part time or full time working from home
"People really should go to their local council or their local job centre and find out if they can get housing benefit or council tax benefits," said Helen Goodman MP, from the Department of Work and Pensions.
"Those are both benefits that you can get in work, as well as out of work."
But people like Sam need to find a solution quickly - he has spent his savings on an engagement ring and has a wedding to plan.

Happy Thanksgiving Gerry! And Here's What I Have To Say...
I received this letter from my friend Jonathan

Hey Gerry!
I was inspired to write this email
after thinking about the meaning of
this day... "Thanksgiving", and coming
to a conclusion of what it is I'm
actually most thankful for.
I want to share it with you right
now, because it's something many
of us Humans seem to forget from
time to time, and it can have a
profound impact on our well being.
What I am MOST thankful for...
Is LIFE Itself.
I am thankful to be ALIVE.
I am thankful to be alive right
here, right now, in this space.
And when I really reflect on it...
Life itself is possibly the biggest
gift ANY OF US could ever receive,
and how often do we completely take
it for granted.
How often do we get wrapped up in
the "Stories" inside our head about
"how bad we have it" or "this happened
to me or that happened to me"...
And we forget that the very fact
we are ALIVE is actually a gift.
An unexplainable, complete mystery.
In fact, all you have to do is look
up at the stars on a clear night...
And stare into the INFINITY that is
our universe, the INFINITY that is
our actual HOME...
And anyone paying attention can
instantly realize that life is a
gift.
That the very fact we exist...
is unexplainable.
We are just here. And the point
of being here... is just to live.
In essence, living is a gift.
A mysterious, beautiful, wondrous
gift IF we choose to perceive it
that way.
But see... that's the fun part.
We have to ask ourselves, how often
do we choose to perceive life NOT
as a gift?
How often do we choose to perceive
life as a struggle, a pain, or a
problem?
How often do we get so wrapped up
inside the stuff that continues
to burn through our head...
I want more money, I can't stand
my job, this person really ticks
me off, my boss stinks, my job
stinks, I won't be happy until
I get this or that...
And on and on it goes.
How often do we let our perception
get carried away in the trivial,
truly MEANINGLESS things in life...
And forget the GLORY, the absolute
MAJESTY of the fact we even exist?
You see... it's a CHOICE.
You can choose to see the world
as Beauty, Truth, and LOVE right
now. You honestly can, right now.
Or you can choose to see the world
as a problem, cruel, unfair, mean,
disappointing, or sad...
The choice is COMPLETELY yours.
And I'm not here to tell you what
way to see it.
All I can say is... life is insanely
happier when you choose the first
perspective over the 2nd one! :)
You know it's funny...
You could be HAPPY, fulfilled, filled
with adventure, and experience the joy,
the mystery, the love that is all
contained within life... while you
are dead broke.
Or you could be pissed off, somewhat
depressed, a bit senile, closed,
guarded, un adventurous, skeptical,
and fearful... while you are dead
broke.
Again, the choice is yours.
You could be happy, fulfilled, filled
with adventure, and experience the joy,
the mystery, and the love that is
all contained with life... while you
are rich as could stinking be.
Or you could be pissed off, somewhat
depressed, a bit senile, closed,
guarded, un adventurous, skeptical,
and fearful... while you are rich
as could stinking be.
:) Do you get it yet my friends?
Life is a choice. The way you
perceive life is a choice.
How you PERCEIVE life makes all
the difference to how you actually
LIVE and experience life.
Once you realize that NO ONE but
yourself calls the shots at the end
of the day on how you interpret
and perceive the world around you...
You realize that you are COMPLETELY
free, and always have been, to be
as happy and as peaceful as you want
in life... no matter WHAT is going on
around you.
Now for that... I AM THANKFUL.
I am thankful for this amazing,
mysterious gift that is LIFE.
And I am HELL BENT on making the
most out of mine. And living
this gift to the FULLEST.
And wouldn't it be just rad
if all we 'Empowered Entrepreneurs'
in this community made that choice
together...
As we pave the way for future
generations to come into a happier,
more peaceful, more wise world...
Built by us. Built by those who
realized the world is INSIDE of
them... not outside of them.
And that we are not the victims
of our environment...
But we are actually CREATING
our environment by how we perceive
it... in every single moment.
What a funky thought.
Wrap your head around it my friend
and it will change your life.
Really sit back and OBSERVE your
perception... rather then get lost
in it... and you will find you have
FAR more choices then you realize.
And with that... I will leave you
to celebrate this day with your
family, and ponder over the things
you are most Thankful for in this
'Gift called Life'.
Oh yea, and I'm pretty thankful
for you too Gerry. :)
You inspire me. All the people
I meet in this community inspire
me. And you are the reason why
I am here... even writing this now.
It's actually 12:46am right now, and
I got up to write this out of my bed
because these ideas started coming...
and I realized I care more about you,
and about this message... then I do
sleep. So that's that.
And again, thank you. Because without
you... I would never be pushing myself
so hard to GROW without limits... and
come back here and share all that I learn.
For that I will ALWAYS be grateful.
